What you need to know About DPF Services
If you’re not quite sure what DPF services are, then this article is definitely worth a read, as you might not even realise you need them!
First of all, what does DPF stand for? DPF stands for Diesel Particulate Filter, and is an emission control device designed to clean the exhaust on diesel vehicles.
Over time, non-combustible materials can become trapped in the filter, which create back pressure, leaving negative effects such as regeneration downtime, filter damage and engine damage. This is why regular care is something that many diesel drivers should consider if they want to prolong the life of their vehicle, especially if they often do short journeys.
Generally, we would recommend that a DPF service should be undertaken every 150,000 miles, but that would depend on the make, model and usage of your vehicle.
At ADS, our services include DPF cleaning, regeneration, diagnostics and replacement, so whatever you require for your diesel vehicle, we’ve got you covered. Plus, we’re the local specialists in DPF diagnostics and fault codes, so if that orange light appears on your dashboard and you don’t understand it – don’t worry, we can help.
